SHE IS A CERTIFIED KITCHEN DESIGNER THROUGH THE NATIONAL KITCHEN AND BATH ASSOCIATION WITH OVER 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SALES, DESIGN, AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT. OVER THE YEARS, SHE HAS BEEN INVOLVED AT THE CHAPTER LEVEL WITH NKBA AND HAS HAD HER KITCHEN AND BATH CERTIFICATION SINCE 1996. SHE AND HER HUSBAND ALSO OWN A SOFTWARE COMPANY FOR KITCHEN AND BATH DESIGNERS.
WHEN SHE’S NOT WORKING, LESLIE SPENDS A LOT OF TIME IN COMMUNITY THEATRE ACTING, DIRECTING, DESIGNING AND CONSTRUCTING SETS. SHE LIVES IN MILLS RIVER WITH HER HUSBAND AND TWO DAUGHTERS.

Certified Kitchen Designer
Carol Basile, CKD has been in the kitchen and bath industry for the past 26 years. She moved to Asheville in 1993 from Birmingham, AL and holds a BS degree in Retail Merchandising and Business from Alabama’s University of Montevallo; she has also studied Interior Design and Architecture in London, England. Maintaining her Certification in Kitchen Design from the National Kitchen & Bath Association since 1995 with continuing education through the industry, has helped her keep up with today’s trends and engineering expertise.
Carol is also involved in NAWIC, the national association of women in construction and NKBA, the National Kitchen and Bath Association and sits on the board of both of these organizations for her local chapters.
She has had kitchens published in Southern Living, Better Homes and Gardens, and Log Home Plan Ideas Magazines along with other local publications.
She has one daughter who is a senior at NCSU studying engineering. In her spare time she enjoys cooking for her family and friends, gardening, and nature photography.

Jesse C. McDonald
Sales and Design
Jesse has been in WNC for 30 years and is a native to Southern New Jersey. As an Engineer in manufacturing, he helped develop specialized precious metal contacts for the automotive industry.
He took his drafting and people skills into sales and cabinet design as project manager and sales specialist. Cumulatively, Jesse has been designing for 9 years in manufacturing and in the Kitchen and Bath field. With home improvement, Jesse has held top sales in the district and region for years.
Jesse attended AB Technical College in 2004, in Cad Systems Management. He and his wife love living in the mountains. They appreciate all the area has to offer, including camping and hiking. When Jesse is not working, he enjoys still photography and singing in the church at the New Horizon Baptist Fellowship in Marion, N.C.
